When Sturvs launched its Facebook Application in October 2007 and started displaying Hot Sturvs, Latest Sturvs & Sturvs TV, I was hoping for more interesting features. At that time, it was the first ever Nigerian facebook application (there are several now).

Sturvs TV was the main attraction at the time as it showed up on user profiles along with the 5 Latest Sturvs. It pulled and played random Nigerian videos from Youtube, Google Video, Dailymotion and many other major video websites.

Sturvs turned one year today! Sturvs.com was first launched on May 13, 2007 and has made quite a bit of progress over the last year. The website has undergone several feature upgrades and server upgrades, and is poised for the next phase of features & additions lined up for the rest of the year.

Here is a summary of Sturvs achievements over the last year:

• Sturvs Facebook Application
• MP3 uploads
• Addition of Nigerian Games - Ludo & Ayo (though not developed by Sturvs, but were free existing games online)
• MP3 Player of all uploaded MP3s
• Social bookmarking service & web tools
• Increase from 1 daily visitor to 1000+ daily visitors
